How Live Co-Author works

Your workflow

  • Type or speak your raw dictation into the Dictated Text field.
  • Optionally add an editing request to guide the AI's refinement.
  • Hit Submit to Co-Author β€” your original and AI-refined versions appear side by side.
  • Accept, reject, or iterate on the refined draft.
  • Export your finished manuscript as a DOCX file.

What the AI does

  • Transcribes and cleans up raw dictated text.
  • Applies your editing request to sharpen the passage.
  • Stores every version with full edit history.
  • Assembles all accepted chapters into a single manuscript.
  • Generates a downloadable DOCX when you're ready to export.
Accepting, rejecting, and iterating

After a run, the output panel shows your original dictation and the AI-refined version side by side. Use the controls that appear to:

  • Accept β€” saves the refined version as your chapter draft.
  • Reject β€” discards the refinement and keeps your original.
  • Iterate β€” update the Editing Request field and resubmit to refine further.

Every version is stored in edit history, so nothing is ever permanently lost.

Exporting your manuscript

Once all chapters are accepted, submit with the title EXPORT (or follow the export prompt in the output panel). The Co-Author assembles your chapters in order and returns a downloadable DOCX link in the results area.
